New Venue The Actress And Bishop

IMPORTANT NEWS FOLKS!! WE ARE CHANGING VENUE! NO NEED TO PANIC THOUGH!! Due to a change in ownership/music policy at The Loft in Moseley, Birmingham – Popfest will now be held at The Actress and Bishop close to Birmingham City Centre…

Full Address:

The Actress & Bishop

36 Ludgate Hill
Birmingham B3 1EH

The venue holds a lot of advantages over the Loft for those of you travelling in/staying in the City Centre as it’s easier to get to and is within walking distance of hotels / train station! We will have extended licensing hours now as well – open until 4AM Friday/Saturday and 2AM Sunday. And also more reasonable bar prices which I’m sure you’ll all appreciate. NOTHING CHANGES IN TERMS OF LINE UP/ SCHEDULE so please help us spread the word!! See you next Friday then xx

More DJs confirmed!

We welcome aboard Pete (Mighty Mighty/The Leaking Machine) and Stephen (ex Proctors/Cudgels).

Aswell as being a founding member of Birmingham’s inspirational Mighty Mighty, a band featured on the NME’s legendary C86 tape, Pete has an extensive record collection to share wit us!

Having gained Sage-like status working with such mercurial talents as Gavin Priest (Proctors / Cudgels) and Andy P. Davies (Cudgels / Oporto), Stephen Davies is now ready to take on his debut DJ set at Birmingham Popfest. Stephen has always believed that he has the best taste in everything so expect tunes to expand your mind and move your feet.
